HEADstrong Lacrosse Wrap Up June 12-13

  With the 2020-21 school year coming to an end our players were able to step onto the field wearing lime green and royal blue for the first time this summer. They were able to showcase their talents at a variety of different tournaments including Laxapalooza, Lax Amplified, Lehigh Laxfest and Victory Summer Rise. As a group they had some great success throughout the weekend and five teams took home championships

The Lehigh Valley 2022, 2023 and 2024 boys crossed state lines appearing at Lehigh Laxfest in Mercer County, New Jersey. The 2022s knocked it out of the park going 2-0-1 and appearing in the first round of playoffs while the 2023s and 2024s also put in the work! The younger Lehigh Valley boys went all out at Laxapalooza, in Allentown, PA. The 2027 and 2028 got the summer rolling, taking home two championships. The 2027s went 3-1 in pool play, defeating GT Lacrosse 2027 10-1 to take home the title. Meanwhile the 2028s also had their eye on the prize going 3-0 in pool play then seizing the championship title over Native 28 11-4. The 2025s got the summer started beating Ground Control LC 2025/26 5-3 and earning 5th place in their bracket while the 2026s wrapped up the weekend in 3rd place with a 8-5 victory over Native 2026.

The Quakers LAX’D to the MAX this weekend at Lehigh Laxfest, taking home three championships, one second place finish, and two others advancing to the playoffs.The 2022s hustled, going 3-0 in pool play and defeated Middle Country Lacrosse 7-6 to win the title. Leaving it all on the field, the 2023s beat out everyone that stood in their way to win the championship. The unstoppable 2024s played like there was no tomorrow winning the ‘ship. Making it to the first round of playoffs the 2025 went 1-1-1 in pool play while the 2026s gave it their all finishing in third place. The 2027s fought to the end this weekend, coming in second place.

 

The Philly Girls showcased their talents at Lax Amplified in Palmyra, PA. Ending the weekend in 4th place, the 2026 blue team went 2-1-1, defeating Ohio Premier MS and Venom while the 2026 lime team captured a dub against Mesa 26 Orange 9-7 and finished the weekend 1-3. The 2027s kicked off the start of the summer defeating CLC 27 RISE, 10-6, and BBL Elite 27 Select, 7-5. The 2028/2029 team showed extraordinary effort this weekend.

The South Jersey boys turned up the heat this weekend! The 2022s made an appearance at Lehigh Laxfest, making it to the first round of playoffs. Also in action were the 2025s, 2026/27s and 2028/29s who all showcased their talents at Laxapalooza.

The South Jersey girls kicked off the summer in Conshohocken, PA at Victory Summer Rise. The 2023/24s went 2-1-1 in pool play with wins over Wolfpack 2023, 10-1, and Dynamite 2023/24 Red, 10-4. The 2029/30s played a great game against Beast 2029/20 ending in a 28-19 victory.

Overall, all our programs had a great weekend! Each player played hard, together and relentlessly. We’re proud of all our players and can’t wait for them to continue to bring the heat the rest of the summer!
