About: Heckel attended Easton High School where he played football and lacrosse. He was team captain, a two-time Team Defensive MVP (2018, 2019), two-time All Area (2018, 2019) and two-time All Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) (2018, 2019). He just finished his first season at Anderson University where he started in 13 of 15 games played. Last year, he had 190 saves which was the fifth most in the SAC, a 2.5% save percentage which was fourth in the SAC and a record of 9 wins and 6 losses. Heckel was a SAC Astroturf Defensive Player of the Week and a All-SAC Third Team honoree.
